The funny part is that most of the answers in here are from the startup owners and workers of servicing companies. Almost all of them are OK for a car wash, but that’s about it. For anything else, if there is absolutely any servicing or repair work that you need, the best option is to go to company service center. Yes they cost you more immediately but all others cost you hell lot more in the long run. All my friends have similar experiences that the local guy or the startup has done more loss in long run and we all finally resort to a good name with the company service center itself.
I own a Hyundai. Hyundai’s company spares & labor costs are pretty high, but there is peace of mind. If you own a Hyundai, Kothari is very good & reliable. If you own Maruti, Sai service is very good & reliable. Dont know about other brands. But if you have an expensive/luxury car like BMW, Rolls Royce etc, then AJ Performance is great.
I have had experience with 2 startup companies in past 3 years and both of them disappointed badly. Garageworks & Demyto. Demyto is expensive and they are technically very good at fooling the customer. What i mean is that you would feel everything they are doing/saying is genuine & makes sense but work done is pathetic.
All these servicing startups are good with sending quick estimates, free pick & drop, sending photos over whatsapp and all such gimmicks. But when it comes to actual work & the life of their services/spares, you would end up going to the company service center/dealership. And the whole experience in total costs become huge. Biggest problem with these startups is that they have tie up with local mechanics all across the city. So if the company is based in Baner, it doenst make sense to them to give a free pick & drop for a car in Hadapsar or Viman Nagar. The bills you receive and the guy answering your calls will belong to company but work done is at a local garage by useless fellows. You cant even expect a good check of nut-bolts & greasing. You would send the car to resolve 1 problem & it will come back with 2 new ones which never existed before. You may find some really good local mechanics who have great knowledge & experience, but due to monetary constraints they rarely have the right tools, good clean space or any advanced testing machines and capable infrastructure to give you foolproof service/repair.
Just go through google reviews of all the dealerships of your car brand & pick the one with best reviews. Thats about it.
